The themed Borralha headquarters is part of the redevelopment of the mining space. The existence of these mines constitutes geological wealth (lithologic), which has potential to be harnessed in order to attract tourists to the region, and thus develop tourism and the local economy.
The exploitation history of these mines, as well as the natural and landscape resources of the surrounding environment constitute a potential tourist attraction.
In this complex, four zones are being intervened: Group D, museological centre, which contains a reception, an auditorium, locker rooms, and some exhibition areas; the casting building for future exhibitions; the compressor home, longitudinal building, with four large compressors; the file archive, floor where a large document collection exists, associated with all activities directed by the mines.
